We give warranty on the battery that we sell. In other words, we have a warranty period on every battery that you sell. If you find a manufacturing defect, we will replace your battery within a manufacturing period.

In addition to above rule, we also follow certain criteria. We have listed them below. If any of these is found during assessment, we would like to inform you that you will not be entitled for warranty.

  • Improper installation of battery
  • Inappropriate use of battery
  • Rough handling of battery
  • Modification of battery
  • Overcharging of battery

However, we would like to say you are entitled for refund, replacement, and repair.

The warranty of a battery excludes the following criteria.

  • Labor cost
  • Maintenance cost
  • Accessories cost
  • Both direct and indirect cost
  • Wear and tear

When you want to make a claim for a warranty, you must produce us the receipt. The receipt that you give us is an evident of the date of purchase. After we receive this from you, we will send your battery for a warranty assessment.

Important Note: Australian Consumer Law:

This warranty is provided in addition to other rights and remedies held by a consumer at law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


Appollo Batteries Bankstown – Automotive Starting Battery Warranty

Apollo Batteries will replace the battery if it is faulty or defective in manufacture or materials during the specified warranty period. This warranty is provided in addition to any other rights or remedies held by a consumer at law.

Warranty Period:

  • The applicable warranty period, commencing on the date of purchase is, if a Private Passenger Vehicle, for period stated on the battery part number label from date of purchase or if for Commercial Vehicle, Truck and Tractor use, for half the period stated on the battery part number label from date of purchase:

Warranty Conditions:

  • The warranty period is not renewed or extended as a result of a warranty repair or replacement.
  • The sales receipt for the battery must be provided as proof of purchase when a claim is made under this warranty.
  • The warranty is not transferable and is only offered to the original end-user of the Lion battery.
  • No employee or agent of Apollo Batteries is permitted to amend any warranty terms.
  • The warranty only applies to Apollo batteries purchased from an authorised reseller in Australia.
  • To the extent that any condition or warranty implied by law is excludable, such condition or warranty is excluded.
  • Replacement of Apollo batteries must follow the applicable vehicle manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals.

Warranty Exclusions:
The warranty offered by Apollo Batteries is void if the defect or fault is caused by:

  • a failure to follow installation, operating or maintenance instructions.
  • inappropriate or improper use, or use of the Lion battery for purposes other than that for which it was designed, or use in taxi vehicles
  • Neglect, lack of care in storage, handling, general use or accident.
  • repairs, alterations, modifications to the Lion battery which have been performed by a third party without Apollo Batteries consent.
  • tampering or alterations of markings to the Lion battery.
  • foreign contamination.
  • overcharging.

The warranty also does not include:

  • Cost of consumables or accessories or labour costs
  • Wear and tear
  • Normal or scheduled maintenance.
  • To the extent permitted by law, any damage to property, personal injury, direct or indirect loss, consequential losses or other expenses.
  • Changes in the condition or operational qualities of the Lion battery resulting from incorrect storage or mounting, or due to climatic, environmental or other influences.

How to Make a Warranty Claim:
If a Apollo battery fails within the warranty period as a result of a manufacturing or material fault or defect, consumers should:

  • Return the battery at their own cost to the original point of purchase or a Apollo Batteries Authorised Battery Retailer, Distributor, Branch or Agent, along with proof of purchase and a full description of the problem, for warranty evaluation and/or repair.
